Clean-up & leaving
Finish cleaning up while your reservation is still running. Your access code does work for a short tolerance before and after the reservation, but that is only for arriving and leaving, not for cleaning. The next visitor comes after you and wants to find a clean spot and the tools where they expect them. Allow the last ten minutes for cleaning.
Workspace
- Wash your workspace, including the wheel and its tray if you used one.
- Wash, dry and return the tools to their place. Do not leave them by or in the sink, tools in the studio have their places.
- Clean up the dishes and the washing trough.
- Switch off the wheel and unplug it.
Material
- Close the clay bags and tape them.
- Put clay scraps and slip into the recycling box for that clay, never down the sink.
- Close glazes and engobes and return them to their place. Open glaze dries out.
Leaving
- Check that no water is running.
- Turn off the music.
- Take all your belongings.
- Last to leave? Turn off the lights.
- Close the door behind you and make sure it is really shut.
